Upper Cumberland Grotto is proud to be hosting the 2020 SERA Cave Carnival which will be held at Camp Tubb in Walling, Tennessee, on October 29 - November 1, 2020. Camp Tubb is located in the center of the Highland Rim of the Cumberland Plateau and offers wooded level campsites and maximum convenience.
We are very excited to have the 69th SERA Cave Carnival since we know many are missing caving adventures and cave friends this year but are also trying to mitigate as many problems as necessary while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. We will be adding some additional guidelines to the Carnival due to COVID-19 restrictions. Masks will be required in gathering places and must be worn correctly above the nose. We are eliminating large gathering spaces such as the dinner, beer kegs, and vendors. Temperatures will be taken at the gate. Organized cave trips will be limited to five people. Hand sanitizer stations will be available. Attendees found not abiding to these precautions will be forced to leave.
The last day to register online is September 15, 2020.
On site registration will open at Camp Tubb starting at noon on Thursday, October 29, as follows:
Walling, TN., is near the centroid of Tennessee's 10,000+ cave locations. There are literally thousands of caves within a 50 mile radius of Camp Tubb and many of them are showcase caves.
